Former St. Cloud Times writer and longtime Stearns History Museum volunteer Marian Rengel will share insights from her work with the John D. Morgan Papers, part of the Central Minnesota Historical Collection housed in the St. Cloud State University Archives.
John D. Morgan (1844–1920) was a civil engineer and surveyor who played an important role in the development of Central Minnesota. During this presentation, Rengel will discuss Morgan’s life, the historical significance of his papers, and what these documents reveal about the region’s early growth and infrastructure. The collection was donated to the archives by Morgan’s son, Arthur, in 1968.

This immersive experience includes both Friday and Saturday night investigations, giving guests the opportunity to explore the historic hotel after dark and take part in a guided ghost hunt alongside experienced investigators. Each evening begins with a Q&A Meet & Greet, followed by an investigation that runs until midnight.

This is the field day portion only. Participants must complete the online ATV safety course in advance and bring their completion certificate to attend.

Participants must be at least 10 years old by the class date. A parent or guardian is required to attend to sign waivers, and is encouraged to stay during the session.
Students must bring their own properly sized ATV. Machines must match the rider’s age and size, and side-by-side vehicles are not permitted.
Required safety gear includes:
• Helmet
• Eye protection
• Gloves
• Boots or closed-toe shoes
• Long pants
Dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event.
This is a great opportunity for young riders to build confidence, learn safe riding practices, and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Pawtographs returns to the historic Palmer House Hotel & Restaurant for a two-night paranormal weekend to raise funds for the animals. Join hosts Tim & Lauren Maile and a talented lineup of investigators and mediums for Q&A, a live investigation of the Palmer House, and relaxed social time each night. This unique event mixes spooky fun with community spirit — and supports local pets in need.

Ruby’s Pantry exists to meet tangible needs in our communities by sharing food and showing friendship to neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. Their mission is to activate people to notice the needs around them and respond with faith, care, and generosity, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.
What is Ruby’s Pantry? Ruby’s Pantry is for anyone who eats! There are no income or residency requirements. Guests make a $25 donation and receive an abundance of grocery items to help stretch their monthly budget. All food is donated by corporate food partners, and every donation helps cover operating costs like trucking, gas, and warehouse staff. Ruby’s Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is not government funded.
Sauk Centre Pop-Up Pantry The Sauk Centre location is hosted by River of Life Church on the first Saturday of every month. Registration begins at 10:00 AM, with food bundles available from 10:00–11:30 AM.
